What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Minneapolis Schools Voices, Community Connector (remote, part time)

Are you a born organizer, passionate about public education and want to make a big difference in the lives of school families throughout Minneapolis? You might be a great fit for Community Connector for the Minneapolis Schools Voices, a soon-to-be-launched education news portal by and for Minneapolis Public Schools school families. 

As Community Connector, you’ll ensure that all MPS parents, teachers, and students have access to the information and news they need–from in-depth reports on important issues facing Minneapolis Public Schools, to stories that uplift and celebrate voices across the diverse communities that make up the district. 

MPS Voices is the product of the team who created Southwest Voices, a news publication by and for the residents of Southwest Minneapolis, and is funded by a grant from The Minneapolis Foundation’s Reimagine Education initiative

We especially welcome applicants with ties to MPS, and who come from communities historically under-represented by education news and information.  

What you’ll do as Community Connector
* Connect with parent, student, and teacher groups to build awareness of Mpls Schools Voices, and to understand their education news and information needs
Monitor Minneapolis Public Schools, education web pages and other resources to gather timely, relevant MPS news and information 
Solicit events / stories / perspectives from parents / students / teachers / staff 
Represent Mpls Schools Voices at community gatherings

Skills and traits we’re looking for
Track record in organizing within non-white, low-income, or immigrant groups
Top-notch communicator
Empathetic, relationship builder especially within diverse communities
Ability to speak Spanish, Somali, or Hmong preferred
Comfortable with technology, quick to learn new software platforms (e.g. Slack, Airtable, etc.)
Passionate about education but also able to set aside personal opinions to build an inclusive community that welcomes all perspectives and backgrounds

More details
20-30 hours / week from October, 2022 through July, 2023 (open to a shorter, full time contract)
Fully remote, with frequent community meetings and occasional teem meetups

Compensation
$30-$40 / hour, commensurate with experience
